Tuesdays Treasures…Sportsmanship
My oldest great-nephew had a major Taekwondo tournament this past weekend that included participants from all over.
It lasted all day, with different levels and age groups. Luke helped with some of the judgings and competed as well.
We are so proud of his efforts! Luke took the Silver medal!
At the end of the day, they all showed their respect by shaking hands, hugging, and congratulating each other.
Team activities are so important in helping our young people learn about competition, winning, and more importantly, sportsmanship.
When you go out onto that field it's going to be war. Sportsmanship is playing to the best of your abilities and then, afterwards, shaking your opponent's hand.

Victory is in the quality of competition and not the final score. Mike Marshall
Good sportsmanship goes beyond the game; it starts with respect.
