On Wednesday March 23 it was REALTOR® Day at the Capitol! What an exciting event. They haven’t held one for 4 years now and the next one will be in two years! There were over 3,500 REALTOR® participants from Texas and I was thrilled to be one of them.
Can you imagine a BBQ lunch for these hungry REALTORS??
The Capitol is getting a full roof replacement which hasn’t occurred in 75 years!

This was a shot of us from our office who went! We covered a variety of topics including property taxes (increasing homestead exemption and 65+), school property tax rate compression, repealing the “lookback tax,” infrastructure, streamlining municipal development permitting, continued HOA reforms, and protecting property owner’s right-to farm. It was a full day!! |

Our color is purple! Many REALTORS® were wearing purple "chucks"....some were adorned with jewels! Why the significance of purple? It's not about the Red or Blue parties but for the Purple party as we are the solution. So legislators cross the isles and make things happen and get bills we need passed....this session!! |
