And... can you try to market yourself in too many ways? Of course. You can run yourself ragged and leave no time to respond to inquiries or meet with prospects! You'll need to pick and choose.
And... you need to choose marketing methods that you'll enjoy, because your enjoyment will show in your results. Don't even think about doing something you'll dread.
Below I've listed 21 ways to market yourself. I believe the first 7 are the most vital, and the first 4 require consistency. You shouldn't start them unless you're willing to continue.

- Social media marketing
- Maintaining contact with past clients and your sphere
- Creating an information-rich website
- Posting your carefully written bio on your site, the company site, the social media sites you use, and the major real estate portals.
- Cold calling
- Door knocking
- Attending networking events
- Advertising in newspapers or magazines
- Writing a column for a local newspaper or magazine
- Speaking at senior citizen functions
- Speaking at service club meetings
- Joining the Chamber of Commerce and becoming an active member
- Manning a booth at a home show
- Sponsoring a local ball team, golf course bench, bus bench, etc.
- Volunteering with a local non-profit
- Cooperating with a lender who offers first-time buyer seminars
- Being visible in your territory and/or niche - attending functions, getting acquainted with business owners, etc.
