MMM! For this month's marketing meeting, we didn't stay as local as we usually do. We had plans to visit a few specialty stores in Hyattsville, MD to hunt for new staging supplies (multiple listings are in the works) and decided to just pick a place nearby.
Shagga is an Ethiopian restaurant serving up the most flavorful and colorful dishes. It's rather unassuming from the outside, sitting right on busy Baltimore Avenue, but the interior is cozy with just a few tables, colorful artwork and mouthwatering aromas. As soon as you step inside, your tastebuds will dance with anticipation!
The service was warm, friendly, and fast, and the food was just absolutely delicious. I tried a combo of vegetarian dishes (salad, cabbage, split lentils, and split peas) and Cherie had a taste of the chicken that had simmered in onion, garlic, ginger, and herbed butter sauce. Both came with a generous portion of traditional Ethiopian bread.
We highly recommend you stop at Shagga Coffee & Restaurant when you find yourself in Hyattsville. We'll definitely be back.
