The 9th annual Paws In The Park event takes place this Saturday, April 1st, at the Pineville Lake Park in Pineville, NC. Paws In The Park is sponsored by Charlotte Black Dogs and the Pineville Parks & Recreation Center. This is a free family event. The Paws In The Park event will include a blessing of the animals, live music, food trucks, dog contests, photo booths, and more.
Charlotte Black Dogs is a 501c3 working with rescue groups and animal shelters to promote adoptions and bring awareness to Black Dog Syndrome. Did you know:

- Black dogs are often the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized?
- Black dogs are often portrayed as aggressive and dangerous in popular culture and media?
- People are less comfortable around black dogs because their expressions are harder to read?
