To Live Poetically. . .

Hi Michael,
I've never thought of living life poetically, but maybe I do. I try to live with imagination and sensitivity, and that does seem to fit within the definition of "poetically". 

Michael Jacobs  You are a wise man! There are not enough hours in a day to catch up on everything. I also check up on Birthdays but there are times I miss important messages. So much to do so little time.

I agree with those words from Chris Erskine, Michael.  I hope you have a poetic week!

You don’t need to be a poet to live poetically.

Like Dorie Dillard Austin TX I went to his website and started going down the rabbit hole of reading his columns!!!  I used to follow Craig Wilson when he was a columnist with USA Today. Thank you for introducing me to someone else I will look forward to reading.

I remember that name.  We used to get the Sunday Times.  It must have weighed 4 pounds back in the day.  We all should try to live our life poetically.

I like the birthday reminders on Facebook.

And, I spend too much time on Facebook as I participate in a number of groups that share photographs.

Michael, it was fun reading all your comments, and the common thread, less time now spent on FB.   BUT, that is probably not the stats I have heard, just from those here in the Rain.

Michael, I probably spend only about 30 minutes a day, and not all at the same time on FB. Time management is always challenging. I do love this quote about living poetically. 

As with all of  your posts, very thought provoking!  Out of curiosity, I googled that phrase.  Wow - it has it's own website!  The links on the site don't work for "about" or "here's what you can do" so a bit defeating, but the overarching theme of building a bridge makes sense.  

Definitely Michael!  You must also be a life long learner!

As you know, because we are FB friends, it is mostly about family and friends for me. A way to stay in touch and share life events. Humor is what I find most appealing.

Michael I have never been a Poet but went to the same school as Edgar Alan Poe:) now in all fairness my father thought me to love Poetry and I have a handful of favorite poets, not sure if I live poetically or philosophically, I tend to think philosophically is more me than I care to admit.

I wish I had more hours in the day but, since there is absolutely nothing I can or ever will be able to do about that, I understand your minimalistic Facebook time! Social media can be overwhelming if we allow it to.

Real estate is an art. How you do it can be graceful poetry and made to look easy when it is a passion. We are all beginners and reinvent the list/twist/sell (repeat) daily. Love  where you live and it will show. Have fun, the movie of life is a short one. Don't look in the rear view with regrets Michael Jacobs .

I have always not fully understood or appreciated poetry -- even the word turns me off.  I am a musician all my life - started performing on stages at 3 yrs. old and spent all my life in music.  Poetry, 'NO.'  But I was interested enough to do a little research and I liked this one explanation on living a poetic life:
            live your life as an artist and the world as your canvas.

Poetically has been defined as living and expressing in imaginative, sensitive, emotional, in-depth and feeling style of expressions. I can see where we can live this and not necessarily be writing or reading or even loving poetry.
