These Maui girls are getting ready for Easter

My laying hens are enjoying the lengthening days and the warmer weather.  Egg production is up and they're getting ready to fill up the egg basket for the weekend...

Living in Haiku Maui means you can have fresh eggs all year round.  This climate is very favorable for chickens, as you'll know if you've ever visited Hawai'i. 

Wild chickens are everywhere, and I mean everywhere, including the parking lots in the city.

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - I had one short visit to Hawaii back in 1998 but do not recall seeing chickens. How fun is that to be surrounded by the chickie chickens who lay eggs and love their homeland so much, they will never leave and they keep hatching more chicks! I love this new knowledge I acquired, thanks to you!
