HEADS UP AUSTIN! 2023 ICE STORM CLEANUP UPDATE

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty ~ 512.750.6899

Heads up Austin Homeowners! The Travis County Transportation and Natural Resources Department and its contractors will begin the second and final round of tree debris pickup Monday, April 17, 2023.

There are still homes in need of brush debris pickup. If you live on a public street in Unincorporated Travis County, please place your tree branches from the late January/early February ice storm by your curb by Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the latest. Please make sure the brush is easily accessible and is not blocked by cars, trash cans, or other objects.

If you have questions go on-line to oem.traviscountrytx.gov and click on the red “Winter Storm Mara Recovery 2023” banner for more guidelines on tree debris pickup or to find places to drop of branches for a fee.

I had a lot of tree damage and was thrilled my huge pile of debris was picked up! If your debris has not been retrieved check debris pickup online.

Thank you, Travis County Transportation and Natural Resources Department and your contractors!

Tree clean up on a large scale can take a lot of time. I hope they have a plan for that wood Dorie Dillard Austin TX . I know around here there would be a lot of people gathering it up and cutting it for camping and for the next heating season.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX - I have no doubt the City of Austin will keep up the city and get rid of all that debris and before long all those trees will be  growing right again.

Good morning, Dorie... forgot how hard you were hit in Austin. Charlotte just saw its first winter in decades without a speck of snow or ice this year. I liked it.

Wow, you got hit hard. I just cannot imagine south Texas having that kind of weather. I lived in Houston back in the day and we worried about hurricanes, not ice storms. Never realized that it could hit so far south.
