On Friday, 4/14/2023, I took a bus trip with the Flower Mound Community Center to the Bluebonnet Festival and Bluebonnet Trails in Ennis, Texas. Although I am not a shopper for material goods, I enjoyed lunch at the Fern in the Wild & Shopping. The food was very healthy and good to taste. But it was the restaurant Host and Waitress that was very professional and welcoming that added to my dining experience. Plus, I got to meet some new people from Flower Mound and had lunch with Linda. She was awesome and good company to talk to about Flower Mound and I learned what brought her to the community of Flower Mound from Virginia. We had great conversations.
The best part of the trip was driving down the 40 miles of Bluebonnet Trails in Ennis. Once the bus stopped and pulled over to the side of the road it was great to get out and stretch and take pictures. As you can imagine, I couldn't stop taking photographs. So, without any further words, I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorite photographs. It was by Baldwell Lake located in between Dallas and Houston.
For me, there is no greater joy than to be one with nature. These are the places where I am most energized. Although it looked like rain, it did not rain, and the clouds added to the texture and colors of the wildflowers on the Bluebonnet trails. As the wind blew through my hair, it was as if Mother Nature was brushing it, tossing it in front of my face, to remind me, she was in charge. My job was to keep my eyes open and enjoy all of the beauty on Bluebonnet Trails. My eyes got to see splendor in the grass. I hope you enjoyed it too.
