My husband and I adopted our grandson at birth and he is now a vibrant, 11-year-old 5th grader. We are amused daily by the things he says. He keeps us entertained for sure.
I thought I would share some of his latest sayings: OH MY LANTA!
"My girlfriend dumped me for another guy who has teeth like corn because he doesn't brush them. But it's OK because I have a "spare" girlfriend." Oh my!
"My homeboy (his good friend) will be my sidekick when so and so tries to bully me." "Homeboy"? Y'all, this cracks me up.
"My teacher beat me in chess. I guess she has had more practice than I have." At least he understands that practice makes perfect.
"You know, not everyone is nice. That is a bummer." And yes, I agree that this is disappointing when people are "not nice".
"If I were the President, I would make a rule that everyone has at least one hour of recess." This is not a bad idea!
There are many others but these were some of his latest comments. The lessons I learn from him are immense. Stay young at heart. Speak truth. Laugh daily!
