It is always fun to receive calls (or requests) from clients you absolutely LOVE!
This past week I received an email asking if I could help with the tax protest, as their home increased (according to the assessor) by about $300,000! That would/could do some damage to your house payment! Of course, I jumped on it, and got back to them.
Then, Sunday I got a text and thought it was from the husband, as he was filing the protest this morning, but NOPE, it was from the wife, and she found a house she was thinking would be good for them. OH YIPPEE! I didn't think it looked like a home they would like, but let's go see it anyway. Well, luck had it, it went pending before we got there! They did say, it probably was too small anyway.
They are empty nesters now, have a home with over 5,000 finished square feet, and are thinking of downsizing. They really want a bit more of a backyard with some privacy, so set off to find one. We have been out over the last few years looking at options but put the house-hunting on hold. Have already done 7 transactions with just this family --- about 20-something with the extended family!
Currently, there are 3 homes in their neighborhood for sale (their same floorplan), so probably would be best if they all went pending, THEN put theirs on the market.
This family was one of the first families I assisted when I got into real estate, and I absolutely, love these guys, and their family. I went to their wedding! And, now the kids are in college. How time flies!
