Registration is open at hrbykaren.com for the virtual seminar, “Best Practices for Job Seekers” on Thursday May 25, 2023 from 8 - 9:00 a.m. The virtual seminar is free to attend and open to all businesses and individuals. The presenter is Karen Shepherd, MSHR, SHRM-CP, the founder of HR by Karen, LLC, a human resources consulting company. Shepherd is also a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management and immediate past president of SHRM-HR Collier.
Shepherd will coach job seekers on best practices to prepare for and execute a successful job search. Topics will include resume writing tips, interview preparation, what to wear to an interview, top interview questions to prepare for and questions to ask a potential employer during an interview. Job seekers can also register for the free community job fair that HR by Karen is helping produce. The job fair is June 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southwest Florida Event Center, 11515 Bonita Beach Rd., Bonita Springs. Details and registration are at hrbykaren.com.
