According to IRS Deputy Commissioner for Collection and Operations Support Darren Guillot at an American Bar Association conference, the IRS is caught up on its mail backlog and plans to resume sending CP14 balance due notices. It’s anticipated that 5-8 million taxpayers will begin receiving notices at the end of the month
