Congratulations to our buyers on the first step in their real estate investing journey. These clients were referred to us by a fellow COMPASS agent from New Jersey, where they have their primary residence. The clients wanted to purchase their first investment property in the Pocono region of Pennsylvania. They were specifically looking for a property that needed some love and attention, so they could make renovations to build equity, and turn it into a short-term rental.
Being remote meant it wasn't always convenient for them to see listings in person, but we made it easy by hosting several video calls so they could evaluate the properties. We also did research for them to make sure we weren't wasting anyone's time on communities or towns where short-term rentals weren't allowed. Being real estate investors ourselves, we made sure we educated them on the differences between buying a primary residence and buying an investment property. In addition, there was a lot of education about the real estate process in Pennsylvania.
This listing hit all of the important notes: short-term rental friendly area, gated community, opportunity for renovations, spacious rooms, and proximity to tons of amenities to attract plenty of guests for years to come. We are thrilled for our clients...we can't wait to see the improvements they make, and look forward to helping them add to their portfolio in the coming years!
