Happy Mother's Day to all the loving mothers and mother figures in the world! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being in our lives and lifting us up. Here is a photo of Mom (Carole Provenzale), with my brother (on the right) and myself (on the left). I call this photo, the lioness with her two cubs. In regard to what year this image was taken, I'm not sure, but I can say it was sometime around the late 90s.
Since Mom's passing in 2010, naturally, there has been a lot of transformation within the family and in ways I would have never imagined. I'll give you a very short version. A few years after Mom's passing, my brother got married and became a father in 2021, which makes me an auntie! During the height of the pandemic in 2020, my half-sister, Stephanie (both of us were adopted from Colombia and brought to the States in the late 80s) found one another using the 23andMe DNA kit. Stephanie became a mother in 2021 as well, which means I also have a nephew! Life has certainly opened up in some of the most amazing ways. It is truly a blessing.

Stephanie (my half-sister from Colombia) and I with her son. This is an image from the day we reunited in 2021. It turned out she only lived 2-hours away from my husband's mother's home. How crazy is that! We were separated at birth by adoption and reunited 35 years later.
