Sundays - Sorry, the Bluebirds Have Flown the Coop

 

We enjoyed watching the bluebird parents feeding their little ones and hovering, night and day, protecting them. The past few days, we've been watching the racoons checking out the empty nest.

While we know they were hoping to nab a few beautiful birds for dinner, we still love watching them; their markings are textbook racoons and they are cute creatures! Can you spot our visitor?

Happy Sunday & Mother's Day! I hope it was a fabulous day for all...

He was so cute, Brian England! We've seen him a few times and think he was hoping to find the bluebirds in their house. Thankfully, they have moved out!

I had a lovely day and was busy from morning to night!

Happy Monday to you too, Lise Howe! We so enjoyed watching all of the activity in the bluebird house. We keep a look-out for the babies all of the time we are outdoors too. Keeping food for them helped get them gain their independence too!

Oh Debe- I'm so glad the raccoon did not get those babies. We have two new eggs in one of our boxes at Kickerillo and a  partial nest in another box.
