It's fun to look back over the years and see the significance of certain dates. Here's a few to check out! I remember well the fist manned space station, Skylab 1 when it launched in 1973! We were exiting a Navy tour at that time.

♦ 1878: Chemist Robert A. Chesebrough registers the name Vaseline on May 14.
♦ 1875: The first Kentucky Derby is run May 17 in Louisville, KY.
♦ 1868: Impeached President Andrew Johnson is acquitted by the Senate May 15.
♦ 1643: On May 14, four-year-old Louis XIV becomes the king of France.
