We all have paper that has sensitive information on it, and needs to be shredded to be protected from identity theft. From medical records, bank statements, tax records, credit card statements, they all should be shredded for your safety.
This Saturday, May 20th there are a few locations you can take your documents -
Arapahoe County Sheriff - 13101 E. Broncos Parkway, Centennial, CO
From 8 am to noon
Jefferson County - 200 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO
From 8 am to noon
Westminster Police Dept - 9110 Yates Street, Westminster, CO
From 8 am to noon
3 bags/boxes of paper are allowed per person, remove paper clips & staples
Only individuals can participate, businesses are not allowed
You do not need to be a resident
The event is FREE, but donations are encouraged and are tax-deductible
You will stay in your car, open doors for the volunteers will remove boxes/bags. Please make sure these are not too heavy so the volunteers can easily lift.
DO NOT BRING:
Phonebooks, hardcover books, CDs, DVDs, Hanging file folders, cardboard, and electronics
This is the 16th annual Metro Denver Crime Stoppers fundraiser and donations go to help pay rewards for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of criminals who otherwise may not be found by police. All tipsters remain anonymous.
