Staging is the art of..

When we get a new listing ready for the market, it's the details that matter the most. It's the carefully arranged display on the coffee table, the cozy fireplace enhanced with a few accessories on its mantel, and the throw draped over the reading chair. It's the color on the walls emphasizing the crown molding, bathing supplies displayed in glass jars, the baskets for pillows, the organized closets, and the curtains framing a lovely view. It's a bowl of lemons on the kitchen counter, a vase with fresh flowers on the dining room table, and colorful planters on the patio.

Staging is the art of turning a house into a home. It's the details that create an inviting space, that translate beautifully in photographs and that tell buyers that this is a home that has been loved.

A home properly staged is inviting, welcoming and warm. It elicits emotional responses, it aids in buyers envisioning themselves living there. Staging is the art of turning a house into a home. Most buyers looking for a new place to live, are looking for a home.

When you are considering selling your current home, work with a REALTOR® who understands the art of staging a home.

The art of staging a home.

Hello Andrea and it is a great eye to have on staging a home.  I pay to have it done on homes that are high end.  Make it a great day!

Besides negotiating a great deal and closing day, the process of getting a house looking its best, staging it, and seeing it all come together, is my favorite part of working as a listing agent! Thanks for stopping by, Will Hamm

I totally agree, Andrea... the eye buys... but I had to smile a bit when you said to turn a house into a home in the buyer's eyes. I always tell my sellers that when they decide to sell their homes they need to stop thinking of it as a home and start thinking of it as a house.

Hello Andrea - I have long said the way we live is quite different than when that property goes on the market.  While it's still "home" for us, "it" becomes a house for sale and a product to be marketed.
