2023 Carlsbad Art in the Village is June 25
Carlsbad art lovers should be pleased the 25th Annual Art in the Village Fair is coming soon, a few days after the 1st day of summer.
This popular fine art event showcases around 115 local and regional artists, and takes place Sunday June 25th. The fair runs from 9 am until 5 pm and attendance is free. Art in the Village takes place along State Street and Grand Avenue in the heart of downtown.
Art in the Village is sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association, and you’ll find new and returning artists. Artists are juried so you can expect high quality, and all artwork is handcrafted and unique.(Photo is from a prior art fair).
Carlsbad is well known for its 1-day art fairs. Whether you are an art lover and collector or not, strolling the Village streets to enjoy beautiful art and music on a summer Sunday is a fun thing to do. It’s fun to browse even if nothing strikes your fancy or says “buy me”!!
The 2023 Art in the Village features art work from 115 local and regional artists. In addition, you’ll also enjoy interactive demonstrations (e.g., sculpting, pottery making), performance art, and live music.

The City of Carlsbad will host a Pop-Up Art booth for art enthusiasts of all ages to create their own masterpieces. Trained instructors will be available to assist.
If the past is any indication there will be an impressive diversity of art work. You can expect contemporary and classical sculpture, ceramics and pottery, digital art, photography, jewelry, paintings (watercolors, oils, acrylics, and mixed media), wood creations, metal, glass, furniture, and more. Our late June weather is usually pretty good and a great time to enjoy the outdoors and the beach. Carlsbad Village art fairs are crowded, so expect parking challenges in town. The good news is our parking is free. But consider your travel time accordingly and you may need to walk a distance.
The Coaster commuter rail station is 1 block away if you prefer public transportation to avoid parking issues, or are coming from a distance.
If you tire of exploring the art fair, there are plenty of retailers in the downtown area to visit. There are multiple dining options, wine bars and coffee shops in Carlsbad Village to enjoy. Plus the beautiful Carlsbad beaches are 2 blocks away for a stroll before or after the fair.
