It is really important to let those in uniform know we look kindly upon their sacrifice. 

There are quite a few days every year that are set aside to honor those that have served to protect us and they deserve our respect day in and day out.

Love your post and how you have the 3 days broken out and why we celebrate them. Its so important to set aside these days to honor those that have served to protect us, those that gave their lives in doing so and those currently serving. God Bless each and every one of them.

Thank you for your post and I echo Brian England who said: they deserve our respect day in and day out. Too bad our current administration does not share those sentiments.

Kathy our service men and women deserve to be honored and thanked for their service year round.

A good reminder, having had a son serve I know the sacrifices made not just by the one serving but by their whole family too.

Anyone that puts on a uniform deserves a day of recognition as they do what others choose not to do.

Thank you for recognizing Armed Forces Day. I was at an Operation Troop Support pack yesterday at American Legion Post 113 in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA yesterday. We packed over 300 care package boxes for our troops who are deployed overseas. All the goodies, from toiletries, snacks, dvd's, reading material, and so on were donated by businesses and individuals.

Hi Kathy Streib - I found out much too late to put the flag out yesterday (disappointed).  I was busy with my listings yesterday, and Rick was watching Tristan. Friday and Saturday were very busy days.
