Originally known as Decoration Day, it was a day that organized women’s groups left flowers on the graves of our soldiers who valiantly served Our Country.
In 1971 this day was changed to Memorial Day and a day we honor and remember our fallen American soldiers.
Take a few minutes to reach out to our servicemen and women to thank them for their sacrifices that are real and permanent. God Bless America!
This also is the unofficial start of the summer!
