My Infatuation with Hollyhock Dolls
At that moment when first seeing the Hollyhock plant with it's thick stalk and regal tower of gorgeous blooms, I was smitten! Since then, I have searched high and low for all varieties and colors, often harvesting them on the roadsides and at our favorite golf course, where they grow abundantly.
Hollyhocks have become part of Nerdin Gardens, returning, year after year, dotting the landscape with their colorful presence. Here, they are all nurtured with TLC, along with the rest of the many flowers, bushes and trees.
A friend reminisced about a childhood memory of her grandmother making whimsical Hollyhocks dolls she crafted by hand. Several stories resulted, as I excitedly created them in Nerdin Gardens, excited to show them off to anyone that might be interested, especially our little Gbaby girls.
Every story has a lesson that ties into real estate and quite useful in every day living. No other flower captures my attention and imagination quite like the Hollyhock. Am anticipating showing off their bloomers again!
Marisol's Parasol
Donning her finest silk dress, frilly hat and parasol, Marisol greeted the early morn as she walked among the blooming irises, daffodils and hollyhocks in the manicured gardens.
After rounding a hedge, quite suddenly, without warning, an abrupt gust of wind came bursting through, grabbing the parasol, sending it para-sailing off to parts unknown.
Fantastically did she ponder, “Had I held on tight, I’d be traveling 'cross the skies yonder to Senegal or Wuppertal.” But overall, Marisol is simply without her favorite parasol.
That’s all!
My professional advice:
While it's okay to day dream on your own time, it is unacceptable to create a non-sensical sales environment when helping to guide people in one of their their biggest buying decisions or when sitting down with sellers to discuss sales strategy. Realistic always works best.
The Tete-a-tete was Met with Regret.

Princess Holly donned her finest gown of layered pink satin and flirty hat in anticipation of a secreted visit from her beloved Prince. She patiently waited in the castle's garden for many hours to which he never showed.
She languished, the gorgeous dress and hat wilted miserably, along with any hopes of a Happily Ever After. 💔
My professional advice:
Disappointment when the expectation is not met is immanent, so when people are depending on you to follow up and follow-through, do it. If an emergency comes up, ensure you communicate and find someone to fill in. Do not be the one who could potentially ruin a client's Home Sweet Home scenario!
Sonnet’s Best in Show

Once in full bloom, Sonnet was averse to blending in with her surroundings. She chose the brightest color for a most excellent costume.
Frocked in a pristine white bonnet and matching, frilly gown, she haughtily desired to be the center of attention, hands down.
Away she set off for the borough, intent to catch the eye of several handsome suitors on the go. She hurriedly left her sisters behind, in tow.
The sidewalks were crowded. Rip, tear! Someone tamped on Sonnet’s gown, down the silky skirting fell, she was now the talk of the town.
That fateful day became a rough row for her to hoe, as many local folks, high and low exclaimed, she truly was the best in show!
My professional advice:
In any sales industry, grabbing the serious attention of consumers is paramount. Ensure that your efforts will not be seen as ultra-ego driven or observed as disengenuous, it can have adverse consequences.
Each year, the growing season brings Nerdin Gardens to fruition with bursts of color at every turn. Every effort is geared towards success, much like enjoying the many rewards that come from running a business.
Wishing you all the best from Nerdin Gardens!
