Barefoot Landing has a long and interesting history. It began in the early 1970s as a small shopping village called the Village of the Barefoot Traders. The village was located on 3.5 acres of land and contained 15 shops. The village was a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it quickly became a thriving community.

Barefoot Landing was an immediate success, and it quickly became one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Myrtle Beach area.

Over the years, Barefoot Landing has continued to grow and evolve. Today, it is a sprawling 100-plus-acre complex that features over 200 shops, restaurants, and attractions.
