This Week…Love, Hope, Faith, Joy
These are 4 words I have on a charm that I wear every day. They’re not random but the words I chose because they are my daily reminders of what is important in my life.
Let us always meet each other with smile,
for the smile is the beginning of love. Mother Teresa
This week we were with friends and the subjects of hope and faith came up. As you can imagine, when friends reach a certain age, talk always turns to health and medical issues.
Hope is being able to see that there is light
despite all of the darkness.
Desmond Tutu
Our friends are going through some health issues, but their faith is strong. You can hear it in their voices. Oddly enough, as we talked, it was this and their hope that helped to lift our own spirits.
Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith. Henry Ward Beecher
As for Joy…I’ve learned that often it’s the simplest things that bring it into my life. And for that I am grateful. (That’s another word I should add to the charm!)
I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy. Rabindranath Tagore
Wishing you a weekend with…love, hope, faith, and joy!
