Here we are entering the 1st full week of June. Last weekend was packed with Memorial Day events and this weekend is as busy.
I just got in from the High School graduation. It was a cold and wet day and the graduation was held outdoors. I was in attendance as a member of our town's Board of Selectmen. I really felt bad for the young women who were wearing open-toed shoes and shorts under their graduation garb.
The graduating class was 83 in number. Their first 3 years were the pandemic years so, they never really had but 1-year in a normal classroom setting. CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2023 now take your dreams and go conquer the world.
Next on today's agenda is our retiring police chief's (38 years on the force) department retirement party. Our State Senator presents the Chief with a Massachusetts Senatorial Citation.
My father drilled it into our heads... it is very important to be involved in our communities and, you don't say no when your government calls you. Volunteerism is what makes a community, state, and nation run. A good community with strong community values experiences rising values in real estate. and enjoyable life.
