Motivational Monday…How’s Yours?
In life, there are many things that are beyond our control. However, there is something we all have within us that can be adjusted and over which we alone have control.
Like the sails on a boat that we captain, our ATTITUDE is something we have the ability to adjust to whatever conditions we face.
Today is National Attitude Day! What better way to begin the week than taking stock of our own attitude?
Having a positive outlook on life is good for your physical and mental health. But there’s an even better reason to put your Pollyanna glasses on… people (and that includes your clients) want to be around people who aren’t walking around with a dark cloud that touches everyone.
What you can do…
~The next time you face a situation that isn’t going your way, make an effort to find something positive about it.
That listing you didn’t get? Don’t dwell on what went wrong or try to blame the sellers. Be thankful for the opportunity to tweak your presentation.
~Make every effort to surround yourself with people who see the donut and not the hole.
Nothing will bring you down quicker than other people with a negative attitude. If you can’t avoid them, limit your time with them.
~Read something funny or watch a funny video on YouTube
Ever watch a cat or dog video on Instagram or YouTube and not smile???
~Make a list of what you are grateful for at that moment.
Instead of trying to place blame or dwelling on what you don’t have, start listing what you do have. If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll smile when you realize how much you have to be thankful for.
As you begin the week, if you run into that powerful negative wall, STOP…COUNT TO 10…SEEK 1 POSITIVE THING.
A positive attitude may not solve all our problems but that is the only option we have if we want to get out of problems.
