Hello Ed - sad news.  

Good morning Ed,

I've been hearing about the effects your part of the country has been feeling from the wildfires in Canada. Hopefully soon they will abate and you will have clear skies again.

Good morning, Ed... I've been following this news and it sounds terrible. Charlotte is being affected somewhat, but not to the degree you are.

Wow, that looks incredible!  I am sorry to hear about the wildfires, I had not heard about them before now.

I saw the same thing this morning as the sun was rising and we also have the smell of wood smoke in the air. 

They said because of these fires, NYC now has the worst air quality of any city in the world. I knew if we tried hard enough we could beat China at something. 

Ed the sky has had a very eerie feeling to it for several days now.

Yes, in the late summer we often have those days with smoke from Canada, washington, etc. I am always happy all I have to deal with is smoke and not the fire it's coming from.

Ed, just hope that fire stays north of you!   We had really bad smoke from Alberta a couple weeks ago too, worst air quality.   

My heart breaks for the devastating effects such as loss of wildlife, timber, potential properties from the 400 wildfires raging across Canada. The poor air quality as well. Praying you all get relief from the poor air quality and the fires are extinguished, Ed!

The stories of the Canadian fires and the destruction are horrific. It's amazing the broad geographic area and the millions of people these fires are negatively affecting in Canada and the US. Hopefully things will improve soon but I suspect it may be a while.

Hi Ed- I saw the orange sky on some of the news videos today!  We don't have the smoke here but we've had several days of poor air quality because of the Ozone layer. 

We have sunny day in Maryland but a code red air quality alert. 

Dolores and I will limit out time outdoors today and tomorrow.

We have wild fires and smoke here in North Idaho yearly.  Just some years worse than others.  Can stem from Washington, Canadian, Montana, and Idaho fires.  Seems to filter thru as if a funnel.  Take care in staying inside as much as possible.  mdm

No smoke, no fires in water logged Maine Ed. Worried about the planted crops and farmers fear seed is going to drown, rot out. Weather impacts our life feel badly for all the lost timber, the effort of all those fire fighters doing a dangerous job.

The bad memories from past years summer fire in California lingers. Insurance company does not even insure this area anymore. Utilities rates are now one of the highest in the country.  $500 ac bill in San Francisco Bay ....
