I've not heard this quote before but very practical tip jus said a little differently from other quotes. It all boils down to remember its your perspective of a given situation is what you can control not the situation!

If people could or would understand the Chris Pine quote, their lives would become so much less complicated.  We do have a choice in those situations in life that have so many of us going off the rail.  Let go of the ego, change the attitude, because we do have a choice in how we respond and interreact. Whenever possible, reach up...UP...and take the higher road.  If you have enough love, it is very easy.
We have no control on how another acts or what they do.  However, we do have a choice in what we do, on how we react.
