Now a fly in the ear would be horrible but at least it flew out. I hate biting insects!

One advantage to our Northern climate is we have 9 months or more with no outdoor pests. In fact even though we have had many days in the 70's and 80's this spring the biting insects are far and few in-between at this point. I hope it stays that way for our upcoming camping trip.

Good morning, Bob... and that's one good reason I have no use for camping! But I could come up with many more. I camped once with the Girl Scouts probably around 1959 or 1960. Did not see the need to repeat that experience. And I haven't! Enjoy your camping trip and Happy Father's Day.

I don't enjoy biting insects either - Luckily at our house we rarely have bugs flying around so we can enjoy lots of outdoor time. It seems as though every 5 or so years we get a yellow jacket problem and have to eat indoors but most of the time we can enjoy the outdoors!

I remember one camping trip to Canada where the mosquitoes were biting me through my jeans, not a trip I wanted to repeat.

Thank you for a hardy LOL thinking about a young girl deciding that one and done was good enough (or bad enough) for a camping experience Nina Hollander, Broker

We had that problem last year Kat Palmiotti . They didn't actually get into the living space but they were living in a space they got into under the eves. I used many a can of wasp/hornet spray and then I sealed the hole(s) with expanding foam. It seems like it took all summer to eradicate them. Timmothy is very scared of them and they seem to be very drawn to him.

They do get very blood thirsty Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 . I always bring a fogger with me camping but it doesn't take much of a wind to  negate the spraying.

Mosquito bites are the most common in area during the summer months. A bit of repellent is a good idea when spending time outdoors.

I don't mind wearing Deep Woods Off or any other insect repellent Roy Kelley . It's a lot better than being bit. I also use a fogger around the house and camping.

Hi Bob- we have to watch for fire ants here. Larry checks for them when we have the kids over because they always run around in the back yard.

We do need pollinators for sure Will Hamm but not all pollinators have stingers, those I could do without... at lest in my yard. 😆

Ants have been a growing problem here Kathy Streib . We rarely saw them until last year but their population seems to be booming.
