Dr. Paula McDonald Texas has really had a tough time of it with the heat the last few weeks. Having lived in Abu Dhabi where it could hit 120 in the summer, I'm rather casual about heat. I'd still rather have heat than cold.

Really appreciate your featured photo as I love the old town squares.  NW AZ is also hot but not as hot as Phoenix.

Those are all excellent ideas for beating the heat not only in Granbury, but across the nation, Paula.  I remember one of the best vacations I ever had, was in Palm Springs, California, in July.  Temps were in the 100s.  Three generations of my family were there.  We'd get up early, spend a couple hours in the pool.  Have breakfast/brunch, go back to our rooms, and nap, read, visit with one another, etc., until evening.  Then we would drive into town.  There is a great restaurant there called, "The Blue Coyote."  We'd sit outside on their delightful patio.  They had misters going to keep us comfortable, and they have amazing food.  We had dinner there at least 3 times during those 10 days.
