Independence Day 5k/10k and 1k: The 8th annual Independence Day Run will take place on Saturday, July 1 at 8 a.m. This run takes place through downtown Cumming and is held to raise funds for the revitalizing of the Mary Alice Trail Park trail system.

The Connection Forsyth: The Connection Forsyth, a drug and alcohol addiction recovery center, is hosting a Pre-4th of July Celebration Cook Out on Sunday, July 2 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 609 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Cumming.
Live music will be provided by the band “RoseBlood”, who perform music spanning the decades from the 1970s until now. Hot dogs, burgers and ice cream from Best Ice Cream on Wheels will be provided.

Thomas-Mashburn Steam Engine Parade: For the 66th year in a row, the City of Cumming will be hosting the Thomas-Mashburn Steam Engine Parade on Tuesday, July 4 at 10 a.m.
The annual parade features a wide variety of steam engines, antique cars, tractors, and floats from local businesses and sports teams.
The parade will start at Forsyth Central High School and travel south on Tribble Gap Road before ending at the Cumming Fairgrounds. The whole parade lasts about two hours.

City of Cumming 4th of July Celebration: The City of Cumming’s annual 4th of July Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 4 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds.
The event will include music, alcohol, games, vendors, food and various contests. The fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.
Parking and admission are free. No parking is allowed inside the fairgrounds. No outside food or drinks are allowed.
