Friday Fun…What’s Your Favorite Red, White, & Blue Dish??

I have to say that those ribs look delicious and I had some really good ones when I was in San Antonio!

Hate to be a party pooper, Kathy... but I have nothing on the menu. Chris and I are going out tomorrow evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary... after that it will be a quiet weekend with simple meals.

150 million hot dogs. I bet the antacid industry marks down July 4th as it's favorite holiday. 

Good morning Kathy. Just had ribs last night and hot dogs for lunch yesterday afternoon. So, likely will be cheeseburgers on the grill for the 4th. As always, subject to change. Enjoy the weekend.

Hello Kathy - a look at the popular 7-4 foods was a bit surprising.  I'm celebrating the holiday in the shadow of Disneyland at the home of my childhood and will likely be back at homebase before the official fireworks show begins.

So many people have fun traditions!! It seems grilling is always the way we go! Probably brisket on the grill, cheese potatoes, salad and corn on the cob!

Kathy, 4th of July is too far out still, so have no idea what will be on the menu.

Kathy my favorite thing about the 4th of July is NOT the fireworks, it is the family cookouts.

I like almost everything and will be happy with whatever is served by Chef Dolores.

My family is celebrating a little less boisterous this year.  There will be fewer of us gathering.  However, I plan on BBQing some Tri-Tips, and having twice baked potatoes, with a fruit salad that has watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, etc.

Kathy sadly we do not love the Fireworks anymore thanks to being pet parents for the past 27 + years.... as to the food I have not had an outdoor grill in over 9+ years... then to boot we do not eat red meat so it is only seafood or shellfish... does that make sense? Kathy, our family gathers together after church Sunday for a grand old BBQ.  I am finding successful weight loss on my current Intermittent Fast and will weigh my selections carefully. 
I have gone past cravings and my hormones are working properly for a healthy relationship of hunger/satiated signals between my gut and my brain.  So with that said, probably a Burger MR/no Bun, garnishes, a slice of watermelon, and Ice Tea.  What may be tempting?????? One of my sons was a chef at a well-known Chicago Restaurant chain.  He makes the very best fat, crispy, tasty French Fried Onion Rings. 
Oh Kathy, those onion rings are my favorite food.

We had three of the grandsons for a sleepover on Saturday and had burgers and ice cream. Our neighbor puts on an amazing fireworks display that we watch from the comfort of our backyard. 

Today we are having Rick's amazing chicken wings.
