Did you know that you can still buy a house with no money down? While it is true that lenders are not doing 100% financing any longer, there is an FHA program in which the seller can pay all of the closing costs and the downpayment and the buyer can purchase the house assuming they qualify for the mortgage and are able to make the monthly payments. This particular loan only requires 3% down so some sellers are happy to give up the downpayment in order to sell their home. Keep in mind that in a situation like this with these kind of seller concessions, the price is probably not negotiable. Not all lenders are approved by FHA for this kind of loan.
