Dr. Robert and Antonia Castillo

Over the last four decades, Houston's Hispanic community has been profoundly influenced by the unwavering service of Dr. Robert Castillo and his wife, Antonia Castillo. Owners of the beloved Center St Clinic (Houston Heights / Rice Military / Washington Corridor), their commitment to delivering affordable and culturally-sensitive healthcare has etched their names in the annals of the community's history.

Dr. Castillo, a proud Mexican-American and a specialist in family medicine, together with his wife Antonia, strived to make Center St Clinic more than just a medical facility, creating an environment where language and cultural barriers were shattered, and every patient was treated like family.

Recently, the Castillos have announced their retirement, marking the end of an era of unyielding service. Their departure from active service leaves an irreplaceable void, yet their legacy lives on.

The entire Castillo family, Antonia, Robert, and their children, have been clients of mine for many years. Watching their unwavering commitment to the Houston Hispanic community has been nothing short of inspiring. As they embark on this new journey of retirement, I join the many voices in our community in wishing them well.

Though they may be stepping back from their roles at the Center St Clinic, the enduring impact of the Castillos' service will remain, inspiring future generations to continue their incredible legacy of community care.
