Pacifica, CA, Streets Paving Improvement - Revamping Our Neighborhood!

Neighbors of Westview! Get ready for our upcoming Pacifica, CA, Streets Paving Improvement.

I’ve got some exciting news to share with you. On July 10, 2023, our city of Pacifica will finally work on our street improvement and maintenance! Yep, you heard it right! The city of Pacifica has partnered with Pavement Coatings Co. to give our streets a well-needed and deserved makeover.

So, here’s the scoop on what’s going down. Pavement Coatings’ folks have planned the work to ensure everything goes smoothly. First, they’ll do public posts and notify everyone about the project. Then, they’ll put up signs to regulate traffic and mark the construction areas. They will do that to keep things safe.

Next on the list are clearing, grubbing, and protecting the environment. Have to take care of our trees, too, so tree trimming is on the agenda. After that, they’ll tackle spot/base repairs, cold planing/paving, crack sealing, and surface sealing. Phew, that’s a lot of steps, but it’ll be worth it.

Once finished, the pavement will look clean. The workers will clean the streets and apply striping and traffic signs.

Now, I know what you’re thinking—what about the working hours? Well, don’t worry about it! The crew will be on the job from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. So, expect some daytime commotion during the weekdays.

Here’s the cool part. We’ll receive a notice two days before workers work on our street. The message will have all the nitty-gritty details about what they’ll be doing. It’s like getting a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes action.

Oh, and here’s something to keep in mind. Two days before the work begins, you might spot some temporary “No Stopping Anytime - Tow Away” signs on our street. They’re there to make sure no cars get in the way. Pavement Coatings will also hand out outdoor notices to ensure everyone is in the loop.

Now, please pay attention to this part because it’s essential. “No Parking” signs and door notices will post the date and time of the parking restrictions stated. And trust me when I say this, they mean business.

Do not park in the construction zone to avoid getting your car Tow Away and incurring any expenses. So, let’s make sure our vehicles stay clear of the action.

I am giving an advance shout-out to you for your cooperation during this construction period.

We know street paving might cause some inconvenience, but the result will be worth it. Oh, and keep your fingers crossed for pleasant weather. That’s one thing we can’t control in Pacifica; if you have questions about the construction, call (916) 642-1751.

Reminder: emergency vehicles will always have full access to our street. Safety first, folks!

Alright, that’s the lowdown on our upcoming street improvement project. Let’s prepare for better, smoother, more beautiful roads in our Westview neighborhood.

Buckle up, folks, and let’s ride in our street’s beautification project together!

A short term inconvenience for a long time of safe and less bumpy driving. Good Luck

Absolutely, Ed! I fully agree with you. The short-term inconvenience is a small price compared to the benefits. It will improve the driving experience and look and feel of the neighborhood.

Good morning Mayra. Nothing like good streets even if to get them there is some inconvenience. Enjoy your new streets.

The smell of fresh asphalt in the morning!  It's always nice to get a new road surface that'll last a while.
