Real Estate Agents as Working Moms: The Food Struggle

By

Being a real estate agent and a mom is hard.

While the profession provides flexibility, working moms often find themselves caught between their professional aspirations and the responsibility of adequately tending to their children’s needs. It is a juggling act for sure.

One of the most important needs is providing nutritious meals. If you are anything like me, where I find cooking to be more of a chore than a hobby, then you really feel the pressure and stress to fulfill this particular role as a mom.

Providing wholesome meals not only gives our children much-needed nutrition, but healthy meals help our minds and bodies thrive. We feel our best when we eat well. So how can we achieve this?

Make nutrition a priority by dedicating 15 minutes out of your week to meal prep and plan ahead. Make a list of healthy snacks to keep on hand, like already-cut fruits and veggies, nuts and cheese, to grab on the go.

There are two places I often turn to for easy, quick, healthy meals: this one for breakfast ideas and this one for dinner ideas. Both provide suggestions for meals that can be assembled in minutes, and some don’t require any cooking at all!

With a little bit of planning, it is possible to strike a balance between a successful career and nurturing our children with nutritious meals.

Hi Amber Fox . I married a woman who is a great cook and is always looking for new recipes.  I gained weight quick before I learned how to control my appetite. That being said I was a bachelor for many years and I didn't mind TV diners, pizza, and other prepared food all those years.

Hi Amber- It has to be hard for all working moms to juggle work and home. Providing nutritious meals is one of the hardest things to do, especially finding meals that are nutritious and budget-friendly.
