The City of Edmonton City Plan(page 96) divides the city into a network of fifteen districts. It defines districts as “diverse, accessible collections of neighbourhoods that contain most of the services and amenities Edmontonians need to meet their daily needs. They connect residential and non-residential opportunities and enhance the ability for more Edmontonians to live locally”. Hover over the map above or click "Legend" to discover the districts.

Edmonton 118 Avenue Neighbourhoods
The 118 Avenue District is located in the central northeast area of the city. Nearby districts include the Central District to the west and south, Northwest District and Northeast District to the north.

The Central District is located in the central area of the city. Adjacent districts include the Northwest, 118 Avenue and Jasper Place Districts. Across the North Saskatchewan river to the south is the Scona District.

Edmonton Ellerslie Neighbourhoods
The Ellerslie District is located in the southeast area of the city. Neighbouring municipalities include Strathcona County to the east and Leduc County and the City of Beaumont to the south. Nearby districts include the Southwest District and Mill Woods and Meadows District.

Edmonton Horse Hill Neighbourhoods
The Horse Hill District is located in the northeast part of the city. Neighbouring municipalities include Fort Saskatchewan to the northeast and Strathcona County to the southeast; Sturgeon County surrounds the district on its west, north and northeast edges. The Northeast District is adjacent to the Horse Hill District.

Edmonton Jasper Place Neighbourhoods
The Jasper Place District is located in the west central area of the city. Nearby districts include the Central, Scona, Whitemud, West Edmonton, West Henday and Northwest Districts.
Edmonton Mill Woods and Meadows Neighbourhoods
The Mill Woods and Meadows District is located in the southeast area of the city. Strathcona County neighbours the Mill Woods and Meadows District to the east and nearby districts include the Southeast, Scona, Whitemud, Southwest and Ellerslie.
Edmonton Northeast Neighbourhoods
The Northeast District is located in the northeast area of the city. Neighbouring municipalities include Sturgeon County to the north and Strathcona County to the east. Nearby districts include the Horse Hill District, 118 Avenue District and Northwest District.
Edmonton Northwest Neighbourhoods
Located in the northwest area of the city, is the Northwest District. Sturgeon County and the City of St. Albert neighbour the district north and northwest, respectively, and adjacent districts include the Northeast, Jasper Place, Central and 118 Avenue.
Edmonton Rabbit Hill Neighbourhoods
The Rabbit Hill District is located in the southwest area of the city. Neighbouring municipalities include Parkland County and the Town of Devon to the west and Leduc County to the south and east. The District’s north boundary is bordered by the Southwest District.
Edmonton Scona Neighbourhoods
The Scona District is located in the central area of the city. Nearby districts include the Central, Jasper Place, Whitemud and Southeast Districts.
Edmonton Southeast Neighbourhoods
The Southeast District is located in the central, southeast area of the city. Nearby municipalities include Sherwood Park Urban Service Area and Strathcona County to the east. Nearby districts include the Mill Woods and Meadows District to the south and Scona District to the west.

Edmonton West Edmonton Neighbourhoods
The West Edmonton District is located in the western area of the city. Nearby districts include West Henday and Jasper Place. Across the North Saskatchewan river is the Whitemud District to the east and Southwest District to the south.
Edmonton West Henday Neighbourhoods
The West Henday District is situated in the westernmost part of the city and north of the North Saskatchewan River. Neighbouring municipalities include Parkland County and Enoch Cree Nation (Stony Plain No. 135) (west) and Sturgeon County and the City of St. Albert (north). Nearby districts include the Northwest, Jasper Place and West Edmonton districts.
Edmonton Whitemud Neighbourhoods
The Whitemud District is located in the southwest area of the city. Nearby districts include West Edmonton, Jasper Place, Scona, Mill Woods and Meadows and Southwest.
