Tired of the hustle and bustle of big city life? Are you longing for a calmer and more tranquil place to call home? Well, look no further than Pecan Grove in Richmond. I lived in Pecan Grove for 12 years, and absolutely enjoyed it here.

Pecan Grove is aptly named after its beautiful pecan groves that add a touch of natural serenity to the neighborhood. Surrounded by large pecan trees, Pecan Grove Plantation is a 1,400-acre master planned community located off of Plantation Drive and FM 359 and built around a 27-hole private golf course.

The price range of homes in Pecan Grove Plantation varies from $200,000’s to $650,000, depending on where you live in the neighborhood. The Grove is an older subdivision where homes are priced between the $200,000 to mid $400,000. Most homes you'll find in Pecan Grove are older homes built in the 1980's and 1990's.

Lush greenery, meandering walking trails and well-maintained parks are abundant, providing ample opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation. Imagine spending your weekends strolling through the scenic surroundings, picnicking with family or enjoying the shade of pecan trees. Residents enjoy picturesque levee trails, convenient access to retail stores and restaurants, three parks and a welcoming family-friendly atmosphere. The best way to describe Pecan Grove is a small-town community with big city amenities.

The property tax rate in Pecan Grove is low at 2.2% and HOA fees are as low as $209 per year. The HOA fee covers the cost of amenities and landscaping. Pecan Grove doesn't have a community pool, but you can enjoy all the other amenities that Pecan Grove offers when you become a member of the local country club.

Top reasons why you should live in Pecan Grove:

  • Convenient location: Pecan Grove is close to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and parks. Just minutes from Sugar Land and Houston, it provides easy access to major highways including U.S. 90A, Highway 6, Grand Parkway (US 99), US59 and I-10.

  • Quaint and welcoming atmosphere: One of the highlights of Pecan Grove is its friendly and close-knit community. Neighbors know each other by name, fostering a sense of belonging and security. You'll find residents out in their yards, walking their dogs, playing with their kids, and talking to their neighbors. The community regularly hosts events and gatherings, promoting a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone.

  • Plenty of Recreation – Residents enjoy three community parks: Pecan Grove Park on Pitts Road, Memorial Park on Plantation Drive, and Belin Park on Farmer Road. Plus, you can enjoy the levee trails for jogging, biking, and dog walking.

Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club on Plantation Drive provides a premier 27-hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts and fine dining.  You have to be a member to use these facilities, though the membership fees are very reasonable.

I absolutely loved living in Pecan Grove. My house backed up to the levee trail and on the other side of the trail was a huge pasture. I enjoyed hearing the cows moo while enjoying a cup of coffee on my patio. It was peaceful and it felt like I was in the country. I sold my home last year after getting married. I have great memories of PG.
