Another Short Sale Secret Revealed!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Vision Real Estate

We all want to increase our listing exposure, especially our Short Sale exposure.  Many real estate professionals openly omit to not showing Short Sales.  Why is this?  Is it because they do not want to waste their clients time with an offer that may never close.  Although that is probably the #2 reason they avoid Short Sales, it is not the #1.

If you want to increase your exposure and close success rate... GUARANTEE the Selling Agents commission.  I know you think I have completely lost my mind... and I apologize if you just choked on your morning coffee.  I know right now your thinking, "but I'm not even GUARANTEED a commission"  And your wrong the banks will pay you a commission and it is typically 5% - 6%.

Join our Short Sales for Dummies Group and you will be one of the first to read my upcoming post "How to get a 6% commission every time"

DISCLOSURE:  Do not do this without your Broker's Approval!

I would agree for the most part, but honestly anymore in our market. Agents who have short sale listings have become so dishonest and try to get both sides over sending in our offers. Seem to have no clue what they are doing and making matters worse, that it's a waste of everyones time just to deal with them.

John... done, thanks for stopping by!

Heather,

You are right... agents are losing sight of the business... "clients first", it is quite concerning what we see and the victims are the clients more times then not.  Our tough market pushes some agents to do things they may have considered twice in the past.  Pretty Sad!

It is not impossible to get a short sale closed.....in fact I have gotten 3 out of the last 4 short sales completed.  And yes, you can get full commission out of a lender...you just have to be willing to play hard ball and not be intimidated.  I do agree however that many agents just simply aren't educated on how to correctly complete the process and greed is compelling so much dishonesty.
