Your Face will Tell the Seller what They Need to Know

I've been following Joan Cox for years, and she makes an excellent example of what all Buyers should remember---nearly 50% of our listed properties now have surveillance in some manner---whether it's a Ring doorbell or an actual Nanny Cam hidden in the house.

I've been reminding my Buyers that discussion regarding negotiation should NOT occur during the showing in the property or near the property.  Also, please save any  disparaging remarks to tell me later--not on the property.

However, smiles and positive comments are ALWAYS welcome!  If you're searching for a Door County property for sale, please contact me today.  We'd be delighted to assist you in finding the Door County home, condominium or vacant parcel that you've been searching for.  And we'll have our private conversations outside of our showings!

Door County Homes for Sales with Pools

Original content by Joan Cox DRE# ER40011786

I was showing homes over the weekend, and one home had audio/video cameras in use, and had a note on the door before we walked in.    I always have the conversation with buyers that this could happen, and even if they don't tell us.   Just keep the comments to yourself, and let me know what you think when we get to the car.

Well, the home they are very interested in, they just couldn't help themselves!   There was OOOOHHHHS and AWWWWs, and the smiles on both their faces made it very obvious how they felt about the home.   I am sure the buyers did not need to say anything, it was written on their faces.

It will be pretty hard to tell your buyers to frown during a showing!

MaryKay, thank you for the reblog, and we have to alert our buyers, or the negotiations could be more difficult.  We are seeing more and more audio/video surveillance in homes these days.

Well worthy of a re-blog. I have seen all manner of recording done inside a house just more for curiosity than spying on a buyer. Sellers looking for an advantage.

Good afternoon MaryKay,

Good post of Joan Cox to re-blog. I just assume any more that each house I shows has cameras and listening equipment. I always remind my Buyers that discussion regarding negotiation should NOT occur during the showing in the property or near the property or an disparaging remarks.
