Real Estate Agents Need Down Time Too

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Cascade Real Estate

Last weekend was Labor Day. A day with a lot of different meanings. Celebrating Labor… all kinds. Pretty much the signal that Summer is on its way out and Fall is just around the corner ( my favorite season). Time for families and friends to have one last long weekend together. Time to recognize the positive changes from Labor movement and if you are in real estate a last opportunity to relax before starting work on next years marketing and  setting up activity for Q1 next year. All good stuff!

2023 has been a year with lots of different challenges and opportunities. Pretty much a back to basics year. Be available don't fall victim to the electronic tools go back to personal skills. Phone calls, pressing the flesh,  writing cards, pop-bys. Keeping you, your name, and business out there and shaking the bushes for new friends and overlooked clients ( all clients).

Doing all the things we are good at but first take s deep breath, relax and clear the fog so we are ready to move forward. Labor Day weekend is perfect for this!

Saturday I started the weekend by cleaning my desk and some old files. Also tended my garden. A few years back I did a video on parallels between gardening and real estate ( if you are interested here is the link  Garden and Real Estate )

So that was the start. Sunday we spent the day on a family picnic up the Entiat River  here is a link for that Sunday On The EntiatMonday we helped an old friend who is pretty much house confined with dinner and old photos

So now its Tuesday and time to get the basics in the business going!

Hello Perrin - residents of everyday life, including real estate practitioners, need time to rest, relax/refresh and recharge.   Your post provided an opportunity to refresh those ideas.

Our life batteries need a re-charge from time to time as well. Helping a shut-in also lifts the soul.

It is easy to just keep pushing every day. Short term you may do well but one day you wake up and BAM!!

J Perrin Cornell I agree, but this business makes very hard at times to take time to ourselves.

Yes it does. WE all need to focus on working oin our business rather than in and being very organized in time management... but it is always tough!
