Southshore in Aurora was the location for the 2007 Parade of Homes and features some custom homes backing to the Aurora Reservoir. William Lyons (previously Village Homes), Capital Pacific, Pulte, and Century Communities have built homes in Southshore. William Lyon Homes, Century, and Richmond are now building new homes. A few homes offer a prime location to watch the sunset over the Aurora Reservoir. This neighborhood is located in zip 80016. Currently, there are 1,022 homes built with 2,700 planned for the entire community.
Southshore in Aurora is located East of E-470, and has a clubhouse with an exercise room, a party room complete with a kitchen, plus a theater and an outdoor pool. Southshore is located within the Cherry Creek School district, minutes to Southlands shopping center with an array of retail options, a movie theater, and many dining options with easy access to E-470 and Denver International Airport. Starting in May every year, Southlands has a farmers market every Saturday, and on Thursdays, there are outdoor concerts.
There are two hospitals within 15-20 minutes - Parker Adventist (which is a Children's Hospital too) off E-470 and Parker Road, and Aurora Medical Center off Mississippi and Potomac in Aurora.

The new builds are skewing the numbers in Southshore. There are quite a few homes for sale in Southshore compared to past months, you can find 26 homes ranging from $680,000 to $1,350,000 some with Aurora Reservoir views. There are 11 homes pending.

119 homes priced from $645,000 to $1,081,500 (last year was 70 sales)
(the increase was due to all the new construction in the area)

With all the new homes being built in Southshore, sales were up. The year ended up pretty good for Southshore!

You will find lots of building going on in Southshore right now. Homes built in Southshore have been built from 2006 to many new homes. Homes have from 1,613 to over 7,000 finished square feet, some with finished basements (and some with walk-out basements). You will find two stories and ranches with two, three, and four-car garages. You will find some Southshore properties with gorgeous views of the Aurora Reservoir.
