This Week…Thank You to Many
This was our first week of temperatures below 100 degrees…though not by much. We’ve been teased by rain but we’re still waiting.
Police officers know that each time they put on their uniform, they are taking on risks to protect others.
Today is Thank a Policeman Day. Our family has a retired police officer and others who are currently serving in law enforcement.
Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.
Many in Law Enforcement work extra jobs to help support their families. They have missed holidays and special dinners. If you have the chance, thank a police officer. Even a Thank you smile says a lot!!!
You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.
Tomorrow is also Constitution Day which commemorates the signing of the Constitution by our 39 Founding Fathers.
If it’s been a while (as in high school) since you read our Constitution, here’s a link for you.
The Constitution is not just an old piece of paper kept in Washington D.C. When I searched to discover why the Constitution is so important, this may be the best answer…
"A chief aim of the Constitution as drafted by the Convention was to create a government with enough power to act on a national level, but without so much power that fundamental rights would be at risk. "
The Constitution is the guide which I will never abandon.
If you don’t have time to reread the whole Constitution this weekend, you can learn about the Top Ten Reasons Why the Constitution is Revolutionary.
Have a wonderful weekend!
