Did you know the third Sunday of September is/was Wife Appreciation Day? One can combine appreciation for one's wife by integrating this celebration some other fun food and drink "holidays" in this time frame, including National String Cheese Day, National Pepperoni Pizza Day, National Punch Day and National Fried Rice Day.
This date specifically honors wives amongst couples who have no children. Not every woman is a mother, either by chance or choice. Since so many holidays celebrate families with children, (such as Mother's Day), Wife Appreciation Day offers a time to honor married women who are childless.
Couples may celebrate the day traditionally with a gift of flowers, perfume, jewelry or clothing. However, other options could include a couples massage, tickets to a show or a new dining experience. A foot massage and home-cooked breakfast or dinner at home can also say, “Thank you for all the things you do every day. I appreciate you.” Share the celebration using #WifeAppreciationDay on social media.
