Do people read your posts? This question has always been a topic of discussion on Active Rain. Yes, people do read your posts! For those in doubt, let me share with you a an email I received just last week on a post that I wrote back in 2015 South Palm Drive My post happened to have a very personal connection to someone, hence the email was very heartfelt. I include a portion of it here:
We lived at XXX South Palm Drive in the early 1960s. My family then moved to XXX S. Bedford Drive...On a trip to Hawaii in the early 1990s, we stopped in LA and went to Beverly Hills to see the house at XXX S. Bedford Drive. It was more beautiful than I had remembered. We used to dive off the second floor into the pool much to my parents' dismay! I was just a kid in love with outdoor living. It was a great place to grow up back then and reminds me very much of a suburb here, which you may be familiar with, Wellesley, MA….We did the opposite from you, lived in Beverly Hills, then moved to the suburbs outside of Boston…You strike me as an eminent and highly knowledgeable realtor, and you write exceptionally well. Take it from one writer to another!
This was sent to me directly as a private message from the Active Rain Platform. You can imagine my surprise and being rather touched for various reasons. Hence, I find it is not just confirmation that people do read our posts (maybe not immediately) and you never know how one of your posts may strike a very meaningful chord with someone.
A couple of other posts that have generated many calls and inquiries was one I had written about wood burning fireplaces as the rules apply here in Los Angeles and one about.
a statue in MacArthur Park in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) commemorating the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
I could go on but that would be a chapter, not a post. In conclusion, keep blogging! Not only will you reap the benefits, but you might also bring some fond memories back to someone reading it 😊.
