Who Stole My Produce?

No doubt Timmothy got his idea for this cartoon from the rabbit or  squirrel that has been raiding our garden. We haven't got any proof but I'm betting it was a relative of this guy:

We have not reaped the fruit of our labors and expense in tending to our BIG tomato plant because someone is carrying it off. The funny thing is who ever it is doesn't bother our grape tomatoes or squash, just our Beef-master tomato's.

There is also a slight chance that a deer stuck it's head under the deer netting and snuck them out.

Your Dad was a very kind man Wayne Martin , at least towards nature. I'm afraid if I increased the size of the garden the deer would increase the side of the herd.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX as much as I have enjoyed growing sunflowers I gave up between the birds and the squirrels.

Bob, think the bunnies around my house even liked the chives, but left the tomatoes alone.   We don't have any deer near me.

Here in NW AZ where water is very precious, we don't have a garden. Back in IN we had tomatoes and green papers that did require a small screened in fence to keep out the rabbits. Thankfully the deer never came that close to the house.

The rabbits, squirrels and deer enjoy dining in our home garden.

Have a great day and an outstanding weekend.

Joan Cox I wish the rabbits enjoyed the chives as they keep re-planting themselves and over take parts of our yard.

Leanne Smith I believe these are urban deer that have grown up in Minot for generations. They don't even pay attention to my dog when she is barking her head off at them.

Good afternoon Tim and Valparaiso IN also had similar urban, fearless deer.

Do they leave anything for you and Deloris Roy Kelley . I'm pretty sure that if I gave them free rein they would clean us out.

Bob we have squirrels that eat our oranges, and the neighbors' avocados and the list goes on and on... now with that said I always joke our squirrels are the healthiest ones anywhere in the country:)Endre

I had no idea that a squirrel would eat an orange Endre Barath, Jr. . Peel and all? Years ago we had a squirrel who raided the garbage regularly (neighbors garbage) and he would hide his treasures everywhere. My favorite was we had some kind of hanging flower basket and one day we found a large slice of pizza in it.

Brian England , rabbit or squirrel it was not willing to share the big tomatoes but it wouldn't touch the small grape tomatoes so we had plenty of them.

I want a video Endre Barath, Jr. 😊. I'm sure it is annoying but I think it would make a cute video.

Bob "RealMan" Timm  we love our squirrels, and do not mind it, BTW they are very smart, do not eat the sour oranges only the sweet ones, not sure about a video but a few photos of the evidence maybe:)Endre
