This post is an entry into the October challenge hosted by Leanne Smith and Endre Barath, Jr.
You would have to be living under an ActiveRain rock not to have read a blog by Jeff Dowler. He has been writing, advising, and setting an example for us for 17 years... and has compiled almost 5 MILLION points on AR. You read that right. Carlsbad Homes for Sale & Real Estate Tips.
Jeff's mix of Carlsbad real estate blogs, local events, and personal stories are just the right blend to keep readers engaged. He has branded himself as a Jeff Dowler RELOCATION SPECIALIST with an entire series of videos explaining to buyers and sellers how to handle all the hurdles in relocating to Southern California. From finding an agent, to getting pre-approved, packing, whether to rent or buy. He covers it all.
Jeff comes from the East Coast, but has fallen for the west and the beach life. His blogs cover the beach communities and like me... he loves where he lives. It's easy to sell something when you believe in it. Jeff also has done his homework- he is 1 of about 3% of all REALTORS in the US with the Certified Residential Specialist, (CRS) designation, which required advanced coursework in technology, referrals, buyer and seller strategies, business planning and marketing, and had rigorous production requirements.
There are so many amazing agents and people on ActiveRain- consistent, persistent bloggers with valuable information to share. One of the greatest gifts ActiveRain gives us are the relationships we form with fellow bloggers. Many have become Facebook and Instagram friends-- and some I don't remember that I originally met them through ActiveRain. I just consider them FRIENDS! (Let's hook up on social media, if we aren't already! )
I was lucky enough to meet up with Jeff and his wife Kay for lunch several years ago in person... September of 2012. How can it be that long ago? And for the life of me I cannot believe we did not snap a photo. I went through all of my pictures and couldn't find it. So Jeff, if you have a copy of our meet up, please post if for me!
Better yet, next time you are in the desert area- let's meet up again and catch up. You have inspired me so much throughout the years!
