Special People in the Neighborhood

Have you ever known someone, and imagined them as a really amazing real estate agent?  I know I have.  Sometimes, the person imagined has nothing to do with the real estate profession at all.

There are days when I get out of bed; but find I'm in no mood to get my hair wet in the swimming pool at the local California Family Fitness.  So, I shuffle inside the gym, to reacquaint myself with the torture machines, instead.

Today was one of those days. It's not unusual for me to find my friend, Neal. Neal is a gentle giant who has a delightful and caring personality.  He's smart too. 

Often when I'm around him and his 7 foot 4 inch presence, I think of all kinds of ideas that could be used if he were an real estate agent.  He could name his company, "Gigantic Realty."  But, I'll bet that Ron and Alexandra Seigel, with their marketing and branding skills could do even better in branding him.

Neal is retired now, but there have been days when I've seen him at our local Farmer's Market, entertaining kids.  It's wonderful having him in the community.

To provide some perspective, in the photo below, I am 5 feet 7 inches.

Hi Myrl- I have to ask...did he ever play basketball??!!   we're all lucky when we have someone in our neighborhood who adds something special like your friend Neal.

Bob "RealMan" Timm - Well, Neal has a wife.  So, we are only friends.  One thing for sure, if it were to be a more serious relationship, I'd need to get a bigger bed.😊  

Dorie Dillard Austin TX - We're really not a couple, just friends who see each other at the gym every once in awhile.  But, he is pleasant to be around.

Kathy Streib - Yes, I think I remember him talking about playing basketball in his younger days.  I don't think it was pro, however.  I'll ask him.

Loved your post and photo, Myrl. I don't think I've ever met anyone that tall. I did date someone who was 6'5" and that looked tall to me (especially since I'm just 5'3").

What a beautiful post Myrl Jeffcoat  not just because you featured this giant of a man, but because you stuck so many chords.   I have been thinking of Ron and Alexandra Seigel  and wondering how she is. Second, because I should have gone swimming it would have been good for my soul.

Anna "Banana" Kruchten - He just seems to have all the qualities that would make for a great real estate agent.  And, he could incorporate his gigantic height into any self-marketing.

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - He seems to rely more on the torture machines, like I do.  I don't believe I've seen him lift weights.

Nina Hollander, Broker - I have a grand-daughter who is 23.  She stands just 4' 10".  I'd love to have a picture of her next to Neal.

Roy Kelley - I remember a number of years ago, I visited the Sacramento Kings during a basketball practice session.  I was able to be on the floor with them.  Some looked very tall, but I doubt any of them were quite as tall as Neal.

George Souto - I think he would have been a natural.  And, just think, with that height, he wouldn't have even needed a drone to take overhead shots.

Hannah Williams - In all the years, I've been moderating the groups I founded, I believe I only featured one of my own posts.  Somehow, I just have the feeling, it isn't about me.
