Friday Flags at 'The Mountain" in Waterbury CT

Maybe a bit redundant, but at times it just shows differently. While coming down the 18th fairway at the East Mountain golf course, (The Mountain) in Waterbury last Sunday morning, services at the Abbey of clean Fairways, the clubhouse and flag just seemed to be calling to me.

Friday Flags at 'The Mountain

We were in the last official tournament of the season, President's Cup with blue team against the red team. I was on blue, and we won 18 to 11.

The wind was blowing and that only added to the view.

The flag stayed at a billow until I got closer to take a better photo

I do appreciate the special spirits that make these flags flutter just right so I can take my photos.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX   Thank you I could say I look hard to make sure I don't disappoint you.

Nina Hollander, Broker   Thank you but the field was 20 against 20 and a few ties didn't help the cause.

Jeff Dowler, CRS   Thank you it was a fun day and the BBQ after was the best part of it.

I am guessing that your golf ball starts off at that flag post and shapes itself towards the hole, leaving a tap in for birdie, am I right?

George Souto   It seems to be a standard height but against the smaller buildings it can seem taller.

Kathy Streib   It started out a little nippy but as the morning progressed and the scores were being tallied it felt just fine.

Brian England   My swing generates a draw, which is right to left and also rolls quite a bit because of the topspin generated. On that hole, it didn't roll as far as it should, and I ended up with just par.

Kat Palmiotti   The wind cooperated for that photo but at times during the day it worked against the golf ball.
